FSA Adds Philadelphia Office

Friedman Schuman, P.C., is pleased to announce the opening of its new office at Two Penn Center, 1500 JFK Boulevard, Suite 1030, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The phone number is (215)635-7200.

Since its founding in 1987, Friedman Schuman has excelled as a full-service suburban law firm with a reputation for quality. Today, the firm is establishing a Philadelphia office to meet growing client demand for exceptional yet affordable legal services.

"Friedman Schuman's Center City office will allow the firm to better service the growing needs of our Philadelphia clientele," said Peter S. Friedman, one of the firms' founding shareholders.

Friedman Schuman's Philadelphia office will be managed by shareholder Daniel D. McCaffery. McCaffery specializes in complex commercial and municipal litigation and government relations. A former Assistant District Attorney, McCaffery has extensive litigation experience having successfully represented clients at both the trial and appellate levels in State and Federal Courts.

In 2009, McCaffery campaigned for the office of Philadelphia District Attorney and earned hundreds of key area endorsements, including the Philadelphia area AFL-CIO and Building Trades. McCaffery finished second in a five-person primary, garnering over 30 percent of the vote.

Shareholder Jeffrey R. Hoffmann will join McCaffery in the Philadelphia office dividing his time between Jenkintown and Philadelphia. Hoffmann concentrates his practice on real estate law, real estate transactions and financing, and has significant experience in the area of elder law.

At its new office, Friedman Schuman will offer a full-range of services, including guidance on matters relating to commercial financing, real estate transactions, land use and zoning, personal injury, tax planning and wealth management, with a special emphasis on complex litigation and representation of governmental agencies.

"In the current economic environment, governmental agencies are becoming more cost conscious," said McCaffery. "A firm like ours, with a well-established reputation has become a very attractive and affordable alternative to the traditional big firms. Governmental boards and agencies are looking to protect taxpayer dollars and resources by looking outside the traditional Center City firms to smaller, experienced firms in the market."

Friedman Schuman is ideally positioned to service the diverse and complex legal needs of cost-conscious governmental agencies. The firm presently acts as the appointed solicitor for 10 municipal government entities, and the firm's municipal law attorneys have earned wide recognition as some of the best and most skilled practitioners of municipal law across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
