Why you should retain a lawyer after a motor vehicle accident

The winter has ended and spring is upon us with the promise of balmy days ahead. This is usually a time when most of us are looking forward to all of the social interaction which usually accompanies longer days and warmer weather. Unfortunately, we are confronted with an extended winter of discontent unwittingly thrust upon us by the Coronavirus pandemic. Our social interaction has been temporarily thwarted by an enemy whose defeat is complicated by its invisibility.

While we come to grips with “sheltering in place” for, perhaps, an extended period of time, one place of refuge, other than your home, is your car, SUV, motorcycle or truck. It is one of the few ways in which you can isolate yourself and enjoy the outdoors away from your home. If your vehicle becomes a means of escape, and you take to the road, always drive carefully and make sure your vehicle is properly insured.

If you have the misfortune of becoming involved in a motor vehicle accident in which you are injured, you should immediately retain a personal injury lawyer to represent you because you will maximize your chances of being compensated appropriately by the insurance company for the driver who caused the accident. Without a lawyer, that insurance company will attempt to exploit you by offering much less money for your damages. Don’t be a victim twice!
