Alston, one of their attorneys, will be speaking at the September meeting of the Philadelphia Surety Claims Association. Bob, an experienced mediator and member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, will be discussing “Guided Choice Mediation” where parties in large commercial claims jointly engage a Mediator early-on in their dispute to tailor a Dispute Resolution process to their then-situation. This process enables them to anticipate work-arounds of impasses and allows them to mitigate their litigation expenses whether they reach a settlement or must arbitrate their case.
