Only the top five percent of lawyers in the state are selected to receive these honors.
Robert H. Nemeroff, a Shareholder of the firm, was recognized for the sixth consecutive year for his Personal Injury practice on the 2019 Super Lawyers list. Mr. Nemeroff is one of the firm’s senior litigators with more than three decades of litigation experience in state and federal courts. With an emphasis on personal injury litigation, Bob has successfully obtained multiple six and seven figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients. He is the chairperson of both the firm’s Litigation and Personal Injury practices.
Robert A. Bacine, a Principal of the firm, has been selected to the 2019 Super Lawyers list for his Estate Planning practice. This is his tenth year on the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list. Bob’s other areas of concentration are estate administration, representation of small business owners and professionals in all corporate matters, business succession planning, employee benefits, elder law and general taxation. Bob has practiced in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania since 1970.
David E. Stern, a Principal of the firm, was selected to the 2019 Super Lawyers list for his Bankruptcy/Business practice. This is David’s tenth consecutive year on the list. David represents commercial lending and leasing clients in troubled credit situations, including workouts, loan restructurings, enforcement actions and bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings.
Derek R. Layser, a Shareholder of the firm, has been selected to the 2019 Super Lawyers list for his practice in Medical Malpractice. This is Derek’s sixteenth consecutive year on the Super Lawyers list. Derek has also been named as one of the top 100 attorneys in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia. Derek is chairman of the Medical Malpractice department at Friedman Schuman and has numerous six and seven figure jury verdicts and settlements to his credit. Derek also has extensive experience handling cases involving product defects, surgical and pharmacy errors, premises liability, such as apartment fires, and auto and trucking accidents.
Melissa Paris Miller, an Associate with the firm, has been selected to the 2019 Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for her practice in Medical Malpractice. This is Melissa’s second year on the Rising Stars List. Melissa focuses on fighting for people who have been injured as the result of a medical mistake, surgical error or some other wrong in their healthcare. Melissa has successfully obtained several six and seven figure verdicts and settlements.
