Only the top five percent of lawyers in the state are selected to receive these honors and we are incredibly proud of our recipients.
Robert H. Nemeroff, a Shareholder of the firm, was recognized for the eighth consecutive year for his Personal Injury practice on the 2021 Super Lawyers list. Mr. Nemeroff is one of the firm’s senior litigators with more than three decades of litigation experience in state and federal courts. With an emphasis on personal injury litigation, Bob has successfully obtained multiple six and seven figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients. He is the chairperson of both the firm’s Litigation and Personal Injury practices.
Robert A. Bacine, a Principal of the firm, has been selected to the 2021 Super Lawyers list for his Estate Planning practice. This is his twelfth year on the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list. Bob has practiced in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania since 1970. Bob’s other areas of concentration are estate and trust administration, representation of individuals on federal, state and local income tax matters, representation of small business owners and professionals in all legal matters, business succession planning and employee benefits.
Derek R. Layser, a Shareholder of the firm, has been selected to the 2021 Super Lawyers list for his practice in Medical Malpractice. This is Derek’s eighteenth consecutive year on the Super Lawyers list. Derek is chairman of the Medical Malpractice department at Friedman Schuman and has numerous six and seven figure jury verdicts and settlements to his credit. Derek also has extensive experience handling cases involving surgical and pharmacy errors, product liability and other catastrophic injury matters.
Melissa Paris Miller, an Associate with the firm, has been selected to the 2021 Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for her practice in Medical Malpractice. This is Melissa’s fourth year on the Rising Stars List. Melissa focuses on fighting for people who have been injured as the result of a medical mistake, surgical error or some other wrong in their healthcare. Melissa has successfully obtained several six and seven figure verdicts and settlements.
Brett J. Kaminsky, an Associate with the firm, has been selected to the 2021 Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for his practice in the area of Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice. This is Brett’s fourth year on the Pennsylvania Rising Stars List and his second on the New Jersey Rising Stars List. Brett has also received designation from The National Trial Lawyers as a “Top 40 Under 40”.
